Adult Bean, known as Ben Salk during development, is a character in the Puzzler's Pack DLC of Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon. He starts out as the Magic Bean in the Hedge Farm, but after being planted following the Hedge Farmer's instructions, he grows into the Beanstalk, until he reaches the legendary Castle Quandary as the Adult Bean.

Pocket Dungeon[]
Once the true ending of the Pocket Dungeon has been beaten once, the Hedge Farm can be accessed from the Hangout in the Camp. There, a series of instructions from the Hedge Farmer must be followed in order to cultivate the Sturdy Bean into a giant beanstalk:
- The Sturdy Bean must be pushed into the lit plot of land, this can be achieved using either King Knight's Bash, Treasure Knight's Uppercut, Shield Knight's, Scrap Knight's Bag or Mole Knight's Digging Claws.
- The Fleeto who disturbs the plant must be defeated with Tinker Knight's Mech or Propeller Knight, swap its position with the Magic Bean with Prism Knight's Teleportation or defeat it with Plague Knight's Poison.
- The Magic Bean must be then buried with either Shovel Knight, Black Knight or Polar Knight.
- Finally the Hedge Farmer must be paid 100000 Gems.
A secret challenge can be attempted once Adult Bean is fully grown up: by using Scrap Knight's special ability or Specter Knight's refract ability, the Adult Bean's mustache can be stolen and subsequently worn. At this point the Knight can then pass it to any of the other playable characters. The mustache will remain equipped during a Pocket Dungeon run, but it will disappear the very first time unnecessary damage, as in not from trade-off with an enemy, is dealt to the character, but friendly bombs do make it disappear; however, if one is able to complete a full run with the mustache equipped, a ribbon with the mustache printed on it will be earned for the Guidebook. Similar secret ribbons can be earned by reaching 10 loops of Venture Endlessly and talking to Beefto in his special sideroom portal, completing a run with a playable Spinwulf, completing a run with Schmutz, completing the hardest of the secret Quandaries of an unchanging Random Knight (achievable thanks to a special hat from Mr. Hat), and unlocking the Quandary Sage. Once all ribbons are earned, a crown appears in the Guidebook.
