Bag Fellows appear as large humans wearing a cap, shirt and bracers, and carrying a large sack.
Story[]
Shovel of Hope[]
In Shovel of Hope, Bag Fellows can be seen walking around the Village and the Armor Outpost. One also appear at the Troupple Pond in Shovel of Hope, before one of the Troupple Chalices is purchased, suspicious about the pond, and what the Troupple Acolyte told him back at the Village. Should Shovel Knight fall into the water, this Bag Fellow will be the one who drags him to safety.
Three of them appear at the end of Shovel of Hope, emptying out Treasure Knight's vault of his ill-gained treasures. Another one can be seen wooed by Propeller Knight on board the Flying Machine.
Plague of Shadows[]
In Plague of Shadows, Bag Fellows can still be found in the Village, although Plague Knight scares them away and cannot talk to them. One of them flees aboard the Aerial Anvil when Plague Knight invades the Armor Outpost.
In Shovel Knight Dig, three different Bag Fellows can be met at the Surface camp, attracted there by the riches contained deep inside the recently discovered Well. Thanks to their conversations with either Shovel Knight or the other wannabe spelunkers, more information about the Hexcavators, the Well, as well as rumors about a mysterious relic, the Omega Driver, can be gleamed on. On the other hand, some of the Bag Fellows just wanna press on with their jobs, and will not provide much info.
On occasions, one of the Bag Fellows can also meet by the campfire with either Spore Knight or Scrap Knight, the first trying to recruit the guy as extra muscle for her lab, while the second having a cordial chat about their respective bags.
Sometimes Bag Fellows can also appear in the Well itself, sharing some of their findings with Shovel Knight.
"Bag Fellow:Hmm... something seems fishy... what was that guy back in town goin' on town? You know, I oughtta march right back there and give him a piece of my mind."
Same character after Shovel Knight falls in the pond
"Bag Fellow:Whoa there, Pal, Barely caught you in time! Trust me, You
been wrong! King Birder isn't here.. He probably isn't even real! How can anyone bag the Joustus Crown if they can't even find the Joustus Judges!? Take this card- I'm done here!"
Same Bag Fellow talked to again
"Bag Fellow:Forget King Birder! Maybe finding the Troupple King would be easier..."
Red clothed, wandering the campsite
"Bag Fellow:I keep seeing people pay that smuggler, then he bags 'em up and takes 'em down the well. Strange guy. Always lands on his feet."
Blue clothed, wandering the campsite
"Bag Fellow:I've gotta get this bag of oats to the mill!"
Green clothed, wandering the campsite
"Bag Fellow:
Ahhh
, what a nice brisk walk we're all having, eh?"
Red clothed, sitting alone (leftmost) by the campfire
"Bag Fellow:Ahh, if only I could put this fire in my bag and take it with me. But ya can't just go around putting everything in a bag..."
Red clothed, sitting alone (second from left) by the campfire
"Bag Fellow:Did you see the Tower of Fate fall down? Whole thing just sank into the ground, just like that!"
Red clothed, sitting by the campfire with the Oreman
"Bag Fellow:Chester sold me a cog on a string. But there's no way to cram four Cogs into that Drill Capsule, unless you had bird talons or somethin'."
"Bag Fellow:I dunno, my arms just got real big from eatin' lots, and liftin' heavy stuff all the time."
Red clothed, sitting by the campfire with Spore Knight
"Spore Knight:Hey,
bigguy!
Hefty bag you've got there. Are you looking for a side gig? I could use someone with nice strong arms around the lab." "Bag Fellow:Oh,
uh...
That's very kind of you. But I already work full-time!"
Red clothed, sitting by the campfire with Scrap Knight
"Bag Fellow:Yeah, this here bag's about a dozen bushels. Yours looks like it's got some serious stretch to it!" "Scrap Knight:Ah, that's clever of you to notice! That's right, my Scrap Bag is reinforced with several magical fabrics."
Red clothed in a side room
"Bag Fellow:Hey, thanks for coming all the way over to talk to me! I was gettin' lonely down here."
Talked to again
"Bag Fellow:Why're you lookin' at me like that? Are you expecting something from me? Well, I got nothin' on me, pal."
