The Camp or Campsite is the hub area for Adventure Mode in Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon. This is the base of operation Puzzle Knight and Chester set in the Pocket Dungeon to regroup all who have been trapped within it.
Layout[]
The Camp is composed of several rooms, with some of them initially locked. This is the main area where the unlocked playable knights can be switched between before starting a new run of the Pocket Dungeon, but it is also the only access point to Chester's Shop and other activities.
Campfire[]
The Campfire is the central area of the Camp, and where Chester parked his Bohto Wagon. Shovel Knight and Puzzle Knight hang there, followed later by Mole Knight after he has been defeated once as a boss in the Pocket Dungeon. Myriad appears after reaching once the Magic Landfill, to sell color palettes for 2000 Gems each, which also unlocks his Style Pile to switch acquired palettes. Puzzle Knight can be switched once he has been defeated once as a boss. After being visited for the first time, a cloud elevator will appear to directly lead to the entrance area of Castle Quandary.
Table Room[]
Located north of the Campfire, the Table Room contains a wooden table which is progressively covered with plans and a Joustus board when Knights are unlocked. Above the room is the access point to Venture Forth, where one can embark on a single run of the Pocket Dungeon. King Knight, Treasure Knight, Tinker Knight, Scrap Knight, Propeller Knight, and Prism Knight start hanging around the table after they have been defeated once as bosses. Shield Knight joins the room after the first Shrine is opened once. Random Knight and Shuffle Knight appear as well after unlocking respectively 3 and 10 Knights. After being unlocked, one of the entrances to Mr. Hat's shop appears on the east side of the room, therefore paradoxically connecting it to the Main Hall of Castle Quandary.
Hangout[]
Located below the Campfire, this room initially only contains Tipp and an ice block that can be sculpted in random shapes. Eventually, Black Knight appears there after the third Shrine has been opened once. Specter Knight, Plague Knight, and Polar Knight also start hanging out after they have been defeated once as bosses. Mona appears as well as a switchable Knight after her unlocking conditions have been satisfied, and likewise, after their own unlock conditions are satisfied, the Spinwulf and the Cloaked Figure can also be found here, near Polar Knight. One of the Shrine statues, crumbling from old age, can be observed in this area.
Beating the True Ending with any Knight unlocks at the bottom of the Hangout the access to Venture Endlessly, where one can embark on an endless run inside the Pocket Dungeon. A certain colossal Beeto may be interested in knowing if the 10th loop of Venture Endlessly is reached, and will hang around in the 10th loop version of the Plains inside a sideroom portal.
Chester's Shop[]
Chester's Shop can be first entered from the Bohto Wagon carriage at the Campfire after attempting one run of the Pocket Dungeon. There, Chester sells Relics in order for the objects to appear in runs of the Pocket Dungeon. Kee hangs around the shop as well.
Grotto[]
The Grotto is a hidden room located left from the Campfire. A quite room with a small water pond, it can be accessed after breaking the Snow Block that hides its entrance near the Wagon's own one. Chester's blissful Big Bohto is found resting near the pond at the top of the Grotto. After being unlocked, both Chester and Schmutz the cat, can be found relaxing here. Also, here Mona proposes to play her minigame for 25 Gems per round. She is replaced by a Plague Minion after her first unlocking condition as a playable Knight is met, reach 100 point with anyone of the other playable knights.
While the game is for the most part the same for everyone, it does to some extent take in consideration the knights special abilities; for example, Propeller Knight will progressively face clusters of enemies instead of single foes, Potions are considered obstacles for Specter Knight, and so on. Furthermore, the effects of most Hats, with only a few exceptions, are ignored.
Any of the playable knights can record a personal record in the minigame, with knights that have alternative, refract abilities being able to record separate records for each one; however, due to their shapeshifting abilities, both Random Knight and Shuffle Knight will receive different effects if they enter the room while they are respectively wearing their special hat that deactivates their transformations: Random Knight becomes finally able to record a record as themselves instead of adding to the score of someone else, while Shuffle Knight, who usually randomly shifts into someone else after each round of the game, now has to face weaker versions of the other knights instead to normal enemies.

Puzzle Knight has a hidden workshop accessed from a portal found by breaking a luminous hollow tree stump in the Hangout. Tief can be found there, trying to break into Puzzle Knight's safe. In the workshop, signs of Puzzle Knight numerous attempt of escape over the years can be found, as well as mementos of the life he left behind in the outside world. Inserting the Seed code "Schmutz" while in the room will result in the safe blowing up, unlocking the eponymous cat as a playable knight.
Percy's Cannon[]
Percy's Cannon can be found to the right of the Campfire after reaching once the Magic Landfill. There, Percy proposes to take a shortcut to any stage of the Pocket Dungeon previously unlocked, with the exception of the Tower of Fate. Each shortcut ticket costs 1000 Gems. Unlocking a destination costs 10000 Gems for Pridemoor Keep, 11000 Gems for the Lich Yard and so on, up to 18000 Gems for the Scholar's Sanctum. Percy's cannon, together with Polar Knight's Refract Ability, are required to be used in tandem in order to unlock the Spinwulf as a playable knight, as the beast needs to be chucked into the firearm. After being found around both hub areas a certain number of times, a Bricks rat can be permanently found at the west side of the area, while another continues to hide around.
Hedge Farm[]
The Hedge Farm can be found to the right of the Hangout after the True Ending has been beaten once and Hedge Farmer has been successfully rescued from his predicament inside a random sideroom portal. Here, the hedgehog explains how to grow the Sturdy Bean, and asks for further aid. Hedge Farmer's private burrow, also located here, can be entered with Mole Knight's dig ability, where a family portrait of the farmer can be examined.
After growing the giant beanstalk, a singular Fleeto, the same one that obstructed the task previously, can also be found in the corner, and can be hit as a distraction, although the bug will flee all over the place after each hit, and furthermore the hit counter will quickly reset. After Hedge Farmer has grown the giant beanstalk, he can be payed 1000 Gems to repeat the ritual if one so chooses.
Castle Quandary[]

Climbing the giant beanstalk for the first time will lead and unlock the way to Castle Quandary, a legendary castle among the clouds, and home of new challenges.

- The Quandary Sage, when they become a playable character, can only be found at Castle Quandary; likewise, the Spinwulf and Schmutz can only be found at the Camp.
