Cloaks are protective gear worn by Specter Knight throughout Specter of Torment. Much like Shovel Knight's Armors, Plague Knight's own Cloaks, or King Knight's Armors, each Cloak other than the default one and the Ghostly Garb bestows Specter Knight with special bonuses.
Availability[]
Specter Knight starts only with his Crimson Cloak, but once he has made an offering of 800 gold three times (for a total of 2,400 gold) to the glass vessel marked with a cloak found in the central area of the Tower of Fate, the elusive Manny will reveal himself, from which Specter Knight can buy new Cloaks. Once purchased, Cloaks can freely switched between by speaking with Manny again.
If Specter Knight collects all 
100 Red Skulls, Red will take him to the place where Donovan's mortal life ended. There, he will entrust to a grateful Specter Knight his previous set of armor, known as the Donovan Set, as well as the Caltrops Curio.

Amiibo Costume[]
In the Nintendo versions, by talking with Madam Meeber and summoning the Fairy of Torment Fairy companion after scanning Specter Knight's amiibo, Specter Knight can don the "Lich Lord Set" costume, which is specifically designed like an extra upgraded version of the default Crimson Cloak set. Being completely cosmetic, the costume will overlap with any equipped real Cloak set without interfering with their effect.
This same costume also appears during Specter Knight's 5 amiibo exclusive Challenges, and permanently unlocks in Showdown once Specter Knight's amiibo is scanned for the first time.
