The Flare Wand is a Relic in Shovel of Hope and Plague of Shadows and an ability in Showdown.
Shovel of Hope[]
Usage[]
The Flare Wand uses the player's magic to shoot in a straight horizontal direction fireballs. It costs 
4 for each use.
The Flare Wand is the subject of the Flare Wander feat, which is earned by defeating an enemy with the Flare Wand from more than 25 blocks away.
Availability[]
The Flare Wand can be purchased from Chester for 
1000 in Pridemoor Keep, or in the Village for 2000 after completing the stage once.
Plague of Shadows[]
In Plague of Shadows, Plague Knight can find the Flare Wand in the secret area of Pridemoor Keep marked by a Cipher Coin embedded in a wall. It can be traded with Chester for the Big Boom Arcana in the place Shovel Knight normally buys it.
Showdown[]
In Showdown, the Flare Wand is Shovel Knight's ranged attack and functions exactly like in Shovel of Hope, but with an added benefit of no magic cost. It can be used indefinitely, but only one fireball at a time.
