Items are special power-ups for the playable knights to use in Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon. They work in tandem with the Relics in order to increase the scope of attacks that can be used. In the Guidebook, Potions and the various types of Bombs are classified as Items.

Acquiring[]

Items can be found in each of the Pocket Dungeon's Dungeons, being far more common than the semi-permanent Relics. There are mainly four types of Items: the first are temporary upgrades in damage to the standard attack; the second is a secondary attack of limited use that can be unleashed at will, the third are Items that immediately come into use once collected, and the last one is a type of Items that only appear in Multiplayer, being specifically tooled to disrupt the adversary.

If the Dungeon is finished without dying the Item will be retained for the following Dungeon, and so on until its total depletion, the occurrence of death or upon deciding to willingly go back to the campsite. Once at the campsite any Items acquired is lost, necessarily needing to find them again during the next Dungeon run in order to benefit of their effects a second time.

Two particularly rare Items are the two Troupple Chalices, which are offered by the Troupple King once found in an extra room in a Dungeon. Only one of them can be chosen at the time, with the Ichor inside lasting until the end of that specific Dungeon.

Shield Blocks 1 damage.
Bomb Explodes, damaging everything in its radius. Effects and looks are slightly changed by Plague Knight's abilities and the Too Big Bomb Relic.
Fire Bomb Explodes, leaving damaging flames in its radius.
Ice Bomb Explodes, freezing everything in its radius.
Crystal Clear Explodes, damaging everything.
Ice Axe Freezes foes on hit!
Flame Axe Ignite foes on hit!
Troupple Chalice +5 max HP until end of level./Restores 1 HP every 5 turns until end of level.
Wood Blade +1 damage to base attacks.
Steel Blade +2 damage to base attacks.
Hero Blade +3 damage to base attacks.
Chronos Coin Stops time for a while.
Wildcard Destroy all matching foes.
Smoke Bomb Avoid harm in the smoke.
Zap Wand Blast a line with electricity.
War Horn Blasts an area around you!
Bomb Cannon Vs. Mode item. Drops Bombs on your opponent.
Flood Fish Vs. Mode item. Flood the opponent's board.
Monster Potion Vs. Mode item. Temporarily transform your opponent into a monster.
Shuffle Top Vs. Mode item. Shuffle the opponent's board.

Paradox Pack DLC[]

Name Description
Glitzemizer +1 damage point on all attacks. Paying Gems 500 gems grants a random number of uses.
Throwing Anchor Throw an anchor that deals damage in a 3x3 area.
Copy Card Transforms a chain of units into another type at random.
Flip Wand Flip units in a row or column upside-down, removing their special abilities.
Morphy Wand Each attack gets a random effect.
Super Spear Works like the Spear but deals +1 damage point.
Poison Dagger Attacks deal poison to enemy units.
Sploder Explodes in a cross pattern from the point of use. Blue Sploders explode horizontally and vertically, red Sploders explode diagonally.
