Story[]
Before Pocket Dungeon[]
Prism Knight is the daughter of Puzzle Knight; having previously lost her mother,[1] after he also went missing while she was still a child, Prism Knight grew up to be an adventurer, mastering the power of light, hoping to one day find her missing father. She eventually learnt from the scholar's notes of the Pocket Dungeon and the key to it, realized that may be the reason of his disappearance, and set herself to free him.
At some point, she was approached and convinced by a Cloaked Figure that the only way to make her father escape the Pocket Dungeon was to trap enough Knights within to help defeat the Pocket Dungeon Master. She herself got into the puzzle cube, then projected her light clones outside to send it to potential puzzle solvers across the Valley. She also met there her father, although choosing to keep her identity a secret for the time being, and agreed to help his escape plan by sending knights to defeat the Pocket Dungeon Master. Her presence inside the puzzle box shaped its landscapes, adding the Chromatic Caverns to the dungeon.
Pocket Dungeon[]
In Pocket Dungeon, Prism Knight can be first encountered in the fourth Shrine side-room. There, she meets with the Cloaked Figure who congratulates her on her efforts. A reluctant Prism Knight explains she may no longer be able to use her light clones, but her partner encourages her to continue. After the Cloaked Figure leaves, she reaffirms to herself her wish of freeing her father even if it means forcing someone to take his place as prisoner of the Pocket Dungeon. She is uncertain on the purpose of the Key Fragments nor why her father needs them. She then notices one of the knight she had imprisoned, and tells them to grab the last Key Fragment before going to the Scholar's Sanctum.
She can also be encountered as a boss at the end of the Flying Machine. When first entering her boss room, she can be seen talking to Puzzle Knight whom she had summoned there to talk privately. There, she confronts him on his plan of defeating the Pocket Dungeon Master, realizing that it will result in everyone besides them staying trapped in the puzzle cube. She then mentions how there is a second escape plan: getting the key to the Pocket Dungeon her father was searching for. The scholar, upon hearing her backstory, starts realizing her identity as his daughter. His thoughts are unfortunately interrupted by one of the knights coming and he runs away, leaving Prism Knight to fight off the intruder to her room.
After her defeat as a boss, Prism Knight joins the Camp and can be selected as playable Knight.
She appears at the end of Puzzle Knight's boss fight in the Scholar's Sanctum if all 4 Key Fragments have been gathered. As the scholar falls into despair, she shows up with the assembled key. With hope renewed, Puzzle Knight thanks her and uses the key to open up the Pocket Dungeon, but it instead blasts a hole in the ground, leaving to the final layer: the Tower of Fate.
As Puzzle Knight, Prism Knight and one of the imprisoned knights enter the boss room, the Cloaked Figure appears to mock their efforts. She reveals herself as The Enchantress and her manipulation of Prism Knight to serve her own domination plans. Intent of stopping them from freeing everyone, she ensnares Prism Knight and her father with her dark magic before fighting third member of the group.
Once The Enchantress and the Master Mind are defeated, Prism Knight comes to aid her father, still dizzy after his monstrous transformation. She then urges her father into using the key to open a portal large enough for everyone trapped within the Pocket Dungeon to escape it. They all make it through, ending up in the Valley's real Plains.
After the credits, father and daughter are finally reunited by a pond under a starry sky. Puzzle Knight is touched by how Prism Knight grew up while he was away and her efforts to find him. He then reveals the reason of his interest in the Pocket Dungeon. Using his key from the outside, he opens the puzzle cube and extracts from it a telescope, his gift to her daughter. The ability of this heirloom, shooting a star in the sky from him to her, means that they can always find each other from then on. Prism Knight thanks him, and gently gets closer to him, thinking of their next adventure together.

As a playable knight[]
Prism Knight's main ability lets her use her Prismatic Mace to point in one of the four main directions and either swap nearby foes with their adjacent one, or to teleport a short distance in the chosen direction.
Her Refract Ability, Crystal Clone, lets her spend half of her own HP in order to create clones that mimic her movements. Multiple clones can be active at the time; furthermore, Prism Knight can switch places with any of her adjacent clones. The Crystal Clones will have a number of hit points equal to the amount of HP Prism Knight has spent for summoning them; also, any Potion or Turkey collected by the clones will heal them instead of Prism Knight herself. While their use can be tricky, the Crystal Clones can potentially increase Prism Knight's attack potential by a lot, or be used as shields against trade-off damage. Another advantage that the ability grants, is that the Crystal Clones can make use of the effects of attack Relics, such as the Underdog Collar, and even imitate the use of attack Items, such as the Zap Wand, all of which further boosts their combat prowess.
"Cloaked Figure:Well done, Prism Knight. Thanks to your cloning powers, the Pocket Dungeon grows ever more full of unsuspecting knights." "Prism Knight:I’ve placed that cube in front of every knight in the kingdom! But...I won't be able to project my clones outside the Pocket Dungeon much longer." "Cloaked Figure:Just gather a few more, and someone will surely defeat the Pocket Dungeon Master. Then, your precious father will be freed."
[The Cloaked Figure leaves the Shrine's room]
"Prism Knight:I’ll free you, father... Even if it means I'm condemning someone else to take your place. I just wonder
why
you wanted these Key Fragments..."
[The player character arrives]
"Prism Knight:Oh, it's you. I was just...talking to myself... But I'm glad you're here! Let’s grab that fragment. The Scholar's Sanctum awaits..."
First time entering Prism Knight's boss room
"Puzzle Knight:Ah, at last, I've made it to your meeting spot. Why such a faraway place?" "Prism Knight:I needed to talk to you privately. You've been saying that we need even more knights? How many is enough?" "Puzzle Knight:Well, preferably all of them! Their keen minds are integral to my escape plan!" "Prism Knight:Puzzle Knight, I have a bad feeling about this. Won't defeating the Pocket Dungeon Master just... trap everyone else in here!?" "Puzzle Knight:..." "Prism Knight:I know there's a better way to escape the Pocket Dungeon. My father was searching for a key to this place." "Puzzle Knight:How...curious. Your...father?
Here?
" "Prism Knight:Yes. When I was very young, he went missing. Exploring the Pocket Dungeon, apparently." "Puzzle Knight:Wait a moment. Are ... Are
you...
Someone'sapproaching!Imustgo!
"
Prism Knight's random subsequent lines when entering her boss room
"Prism Knight:After I reflect every attack, I'll be seeing my way out of here!" "Prism Knight:Do you have any chance of escaping? Time to shine a light and reveal it!" "Prism Knight:You'll never truly see me, as I travel across worlds with my
PrismaticPower!
"
First time talked to at the camp
"Prism Knight:We’re trapped here until someone can defeat the Pocket Dungeon Master..."
Talked to again at the camp
"Prism Knight:Things are becoming crystal clear for me, but our foes won't know what hit them."
Talked to again at the camp after encountering her at the fourth shrine
"Prism Knight:It might be a while before we're all together like this again. Let's enjoy it while we can, yeah?"
Defeating Puzzle Knight with all five Key Fragments
"Puzzle Knight:
Agggh!
I'mbeaten!
I'mbested!
I'mvanquished!
I'm stuck here forever!
Sayit'snottrue!
" "Prism Knight:It’s not true!
Hangon!
Look, here's the key, we've assembled it all!" "Puzzle Knight:I...
What?
Could that be... the key to the Pocket Dungeon?
Impossible!
I watched it scatter to the winds. It's been restored?" "Prism Knight:Yes! I had plenty of help, but by working together, we recovered all the fragments." "Puzzle Knight:Unbelievable! You found me, Prism Knight... And actually saved me, and everyone else. With this key...
wecanescape!
Hahaha!
I feel so lucky. I guess sometimes a key part of the solution is...
alittlebitofluck

Well, no time like the present. Let's put that key to good use and

"
[The Key opens up a hole on the floor]
"Prism Knight:
Whoa...
What'shappening?
" "Puzzle Knight:That didn't sound good. Apparently there's a final layer to this conundrum. Let's go and finish this,
what a surprise. I can scarcely believe you made it here." "Puzzle Knight:
Showyourself,fiend!
" "Enchantress:
Ohhoho...
it is none other than me! The Enchantress!" "Puzzle Knight:
You!
You're the one who has

Didn't I, Prism Knight? Or should I say, “Prison Knight”?

"
Defeating The Enchantress
"Enchantress:
Enough!
I tire of this Pocket Dungeon. Playtime is over, I've no more time for games."
[The Enchantress brings the chained Puzzle Knight closer to her]
"Enchantress:Puzzle Knight, you've been such a gracious host. Why don't I leave a parting riddle?
Don'tletitgotoyourhead!
Now...hop to it, pawns!
Toodle-oo!
"
Defeating the Master Mind
"Puzzle Knight:
Oof
, I fear I may have gotten a little big-headed back there! It's a big head, you see. Dizzy. Big head, lots of room for ...
puzzles
... I..." "Prism Knight:You need to rest. Looks like the exit to the outside world is right through that portal. Let’s get out of here!" "Puzzle Knight:I guess this is it...
aftersolong.
It's actually solved. Is this real?"
[The dungeon starts to collapse]
"Prism Knight:Uh oh... Hey,
snapoutofit.
This place is coming apart at the seams. We need to move,
now!
"
[Puzzle Knight widens the portal]
"Puzzle Knight:... There! Room enough for everyone. Let’s all be free from this dastardly contraption for good!
Allthepiecesarefinallyinplace.
We've done it!
Timetogo!!!
"
Post-credits scene
"Prism Knight:...and so, I came looking for you as soon as I was able! Your notes left me clues that led to the Pocket Dungeon and the key." "Puzzle Knight:Remarkable... And to think you were just a child when you discovered all of this! Not being able to see you grow up has taken a toll on me. I thought about it every day... What my daughter was like... If she was happy. You’re everything I'd dreamed of. Thank you for coming after me. We have so much catching up to do..."
[Puzzle Knight takes the Key from Prism Knight and opens up the Pocket Dungeon]
"Puzzle Knight:
Butfirst,
let me show you why I sought to solve the Pocket Dungeon in the first place. You see, there's a hidden prize for solving the puzzle. An heirloom I was hoping to give to you."
[Puzzle Knight extracts a telescope from the cube and gives it to Prism Knight]
"Prism Knight:Oh...wow... A telescope.
It'sbeautiful!
" "Puzzle Knight:It's more than that. Give it a try. Take a look!"
[Prism Knight looks through the telescope and sees a shooting star passing by]
"Prism Knight:
Oh!
A shooting star! What are the odds?" "Puzzle Knight:Well, statistically, 1-to-1. That is, any time you look through it, a star will shoot across the sky, from me...to you. That way, even if we're apart, we'll never lose each other again." "Prism Knight:Thanks, Dad... Here’s to finding the next adventure."
