A Rat Rope.
A Rat Rope is an object exclusive to King of Cards. It is used by King Knight to leave most Stages. As the name implies, it's a golden ring tied with a rope to a group of Propeller Rats. There are two types of Rat Ropes:
- The common Rat Rope, found at the normal exits of the stages.
- The Secret Rat Rope, found at the secret exits of handful of stages.

Almost all of the stages have at least one Rat Rope, with only handful of exceptions:
- The Homestead doesn't have a functional Rat Rope, but a broken one can be found on the house's roof. King Knight is forced to leave the area on foot.
- Joustus Judge stages don't have one due to King Knight using different method of transportation to leave the stage. The Rat Rope is only seen after leaving the stage and getting on the Glidewing.
- Spectral Ravine and Eerie Manor don't have one due to having a boss fight at the end followed by a cut to black.
- All of the Gold Chest/Card Chest stages except the Lover's Vista don't have one due to King Knight leaving the areas on foot.
If King Knight visits the Fairy Glade and picks a fairy, all Propeller Rats will fly using fairy wings instead of propellers, including the Rat Ropes' rats.
