The Resplendent Cape is an armor that King Knight can buy from King Pridemoor for 9999 gold, thus making it the most expensive upgrade across all campaigns. Even though it's so expensive, it offers no practical use whatsoever. The only things that change are the animations for King Knight:
- While jumping and twirling, King Knight does various poses.
- While walking, King Knight struts.

- Shovel Knight, Plague Knight, and Specter Knight all have their own versions of the Resplendent Cape, in the form of the Ornate Plate, Dandy Duds, and Ghostly Garb respectively, as all three items are their most expensive defensive gear and offer no special combat or movement benefits.
- The Resplendent Cape is the only one not bought for 8000 gold.
