Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment Original Soundtrack is a 25 tracks album featuring all new music composed by Jake Kaufman for Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment.

Production[]

The new stage tracks are remixed versions of the original ones from the Shovel Knight Original Soundtrack. Other tracks were inspired by Specter Knight's stage theme, La Danse Macabre.

The album was first released on Kaufman's Bandcamp account at any price on April 6th,2017.[1][2]. It was added to the Steam album of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove on October 5th.[3][4] A physical vinyl and disc edition titled Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment The Definitive Soundtrack was published by Brave Wave and released on January 15, 2019.[5]

Trivia[]

  • All tracks except Boss Victory and the trailer's music can be unlocked and listened to in Sound Test in the game's menu after completing the campaign once.
  • The stage and boss tracks were reused in King of Cards and Showdown.
  • Like for the first two albums, the Definitive Edition contains an original cover art designed by illustrator Hitoshi Ariga of Pokemon and Mega Man fame.[5]
