Shovel Knight Original Soundtrack is the official score of Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope, composed by Jake "Virt" Kaufman and Manami Matsumae, known for her work on the music and sound effects of the Megaman game series. It contains 48 tracks, which (with the exception of two) can be collected as Music Sheets and played by the Bard in the Village, or in Sound Test in the game's menu after completing the campaign once. Most of the music were reused in the other campaigns and as such are not featured again on the other albums.
The complete digital album was released on June 27, 2014, on Kaufman's Bandcamp page to be downloaded at any price,[1] and on December 24 on Steam as a $10. DLC[2] A physical two-vinyls and disc edition titled Shovel Knight The Definitive Soundtrack was published by Matsumae's music label Brave Wave in October 2016.[3]
