The Master Mind is the true final boss of Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon. This is the corrupted form of Puzzle Knight transformed by The Enchantress's dark magic.
Appearance[]
The Master Mind is the brain of Puzzle Knight, extraordinarily enlarged by The Enchantress's dark arts under the scholar's hat and seemingly controlling him. A large white eye glows purple on top of it, and gold chains starting from somewhere beneath it hold its appendices: a key, a hand, a compass's needle, and a small panel with an eye drawn on it. Puzzle Knight himself can only hold on to the Master Mind as it teleports around the room, with his eyes beneath his helmet glowing purple.
Story[]
Pocket Dungeon[]
In order to keep the characters from exiting the Pocket Dungeon, The Enchantress reveals herself in the hidden Tower of Fate layer of the cube. After her defeat, she decides to pull one last trick before escaping, turning Puzzle Knight, whom she had captured prior to her fight, into the Master Mind. The monster then unleashes a barrage a powerful dark magic upon its foe. The Master Mind vanishes in an explosion once defeated, reverting to Puzzle Knight.
