Whisker is a character introduced in Shovel Knight Dig. He sells Shovel Knight access to shortcuts throughout the Well.

Appearance

Whisker is a portly man with an eyepatch over his left eye. He wears a bandaged brimmed pointy red hat, a red shirt, a patchy short red cloak, beige pants, brown gloves, and brown shoes. His toothy grin reveals one of his teeth is golden.

Story

Dig

Whisker owns Whisker's Shortcuts, where Shovel Knight can unlock shortcuts to previously visited stages after Mushroom Mines, and then buy a ticket to selected stage. Whisker stuffs Shovel Knight into a bag, which then falls into the stage. If Shovel Knight doesn't attack to rip the bag, he can hop around inside the bag until he's damaged, then the bag disappears.

For Smeltworks and Secret Fountain, unlocking the shortcuts costs 2000 gems and using them costs 400. For Magic Landfill and The Grub Pit, the costs are 4000 and 600, respectively. For Drill Knight's Castle, 10000 and 1000.
